I'm late I know

I know I'm really late but lets pretend that it's Monday. On second thought let's not. Last night the Capitals almost got blown out of the water by the Florida Panthers. They did manage to come within a point in the final minutes of the game but failed to tie the game by the end. The only exciting part was when Ovie was hit in the face. Otherwise it was a bad game for Caps fans, not counting the final minutes. Final Score: 5-4 Panters.

One good game last night was the Bruins-Penguins. Tim Thomas gets his 10th straight win as the Bruins beat the Penguins 3-1, and Crosby was held without a goal again (please feel free to celebrate this small but awesome fact).

The NHL will have a new look next season. The current two conferences will be reformed into four with no more divisions. Two conferences will have eight teams and two will have seven. This is what the conferences will look like:

A. Anaheim, Calgary, Colorado, Edmonton, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Jose, Vancouver.
B. Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Minnesota, Nashville, St. Louis, Winnipeg.
C. Boston, Buffalo, Florida, Montreal, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Toronto.
D. Carolina, New Jersey, N.Y. Islanders. N.Y. Rangers, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington.

On to football. Things looked promising for the Redskins at the beginning of the game but it started to go downhill after half time. I really hate the Jets; for the longest time there was only a three point different between the two teams but it once the Jets got on a roll it was bad news for the Skins. Final Score: 34-19 Jets. Some really bad news for the Skins broke out in the open after their game. They will be losing tackle Trent Williams and tight end Fred Davis. They are being suspended for four games (which happens to be the end of the regular season) for breaking league rules about using recreational drugs. Oh great, just what we need right now, just one more thing to add to a LONG list of problems. Oh, these last few games will be fun, NOT.

The Colts needed to win a game but it wasn't to be when they played the Pats on Sunday. In my opinion, (which is totally unbiased) it could have been a bigger loss than it was. The Pat's offense stopped in the last quarter letting the Colts score three touchdowns. Like I said, it could have been played a bit better, oh well the Pats still have a better record than the Colts. (Colts 0-12-0, Pats 9-3-0) Final Score: 31-24.

One last brief note. The Steelers won as well but I didn't read or see mush of the game since I was busy putting up Christmas stuff.

Till next time.
