Chris Cooley is out for the rest of the preseason with an aggravated knee. He flew out of town late Wednesday night to Alabama to have it looked at. Cooley will need a month of rest says a source close to the football star. If all goes well he will be able to play opening day of the regular season. Talking about Redskin football their next game is tomorrow at 7:00 in Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis. After recovering from a groin injury, John Beck is going to be the starting QB for that game.
Stephen Strasburg played for the Hagerstown Suns Wednesday. In the game he gave up five runs on four hits. Not the best way to prove that he's just as good as he was before he had Tommy-John surjury. I'm sure that it's just a kink and it'll work itself out. The Washington Nationals play the Chicago Cubs tonight.
Some comments by a former Capitals player sting. Long time Caps player Matt Bradley made some interesting comments about his former team, although all the players and team members know what he said was true. They maybe true (and I agree with most of them), but they weren't all necessary. The team will change and it will be a new revamped Capitals team we see this fall. Training camp will be more demanding and the season will be a better played one. I thank Mr. Bradley for his comments but ask him to please learn to watch what comes out of his mouth.
