Baseball, football, and golf, a trifecta of sports

Micheal Morse (first baseman for the Washington Nationals) was hit in his elbow-triceps area during yesterday's game against the Cubs with a 91-mph pitch. Let me just say ouch. Being stepped on by a horse hurts but not as much as that did. He left the game for a trip to a Chicago area hospital for a x-ray. It came back negative (for those like me who don't always remember what they mean by negative and positive, pos.= it's broken, neg.= it's not). Although it is a odd injury. When he was hit his muscles started to act erratically. He'll be out for a while but I pray that he doesn't wind up like Strasburg. Speaking of the super-star, I didn't really have choice whether to go to the game or not. Tonight's game with the P-Nats (Strasburg pitching) is sold out. I guess I'll be watching football. Time to get out my Terrible Towel!!

Yea! The Redskins and Steelers seasons start tonight. And yes if you didn't know, they're playing each other. The game's tonight at 7:30. Last night, New England won their game against Jacksonville 47-12; could this be a little glimpse at what's to come this year? It could be. Ryan Mallett, New England's rookie QB played the whole second half.

In golf, Rory McIlroy has injured his right wrist. Yesterday while trying to get his ball out of the rough he hit a root. By the end of the day he had it wrapped up, but he still managed to finish even par. He had a MRI on his wrist and found that it was (or it's just what they're telling us) a strained tendon. Tiger Woods is still trying to find his stride. If you ask me (and I know you didn't but let's just pretend you did) he shouldn't have lost it but since he did he needs to find it soon. Tiger finished the day +7, he may want to fix whatever is wrong.
